A paragon of idiocy!

Sign seen outside a shop on South Bridge, Edinburgh, 25th January, 2011. How much abject stupidity does it take to create such a paragon of idiocy? If the owner of the shop inserted all those unnecessary apostrophes, why didn't the signwriter remove them? And if the signwriter inserted them, on what basis does he consider himself qualified to write signs? And why didn't the shop-owner boot him firm in the nuts?
