High-pissing contest

Evidence that the Christmas season actually does start earlier every year: festive decorations seen in the Royal Mile, Edinburgh, 3rd November, 2011. Or have they been left there since last Christmas, and I failed to notice them previously?

Festive decorations seen in the Royal Mile, Edinburgh, 3rd November, 2011. If you turn your head through 90 degrees, you'll see that these decorations incorporate Edinburgh Council's stupid 'high-pissing contest' logo.
