Someone's burnt the toast again!

This seemed to be a twice-weekly occurrence a while back, but it's been happening much less frequently recently: a fire-engine racing to St. Mary's Street with siren blaring, and screeching to a halt outside the Travelodge opposite my flat. As can be seen, a large crowd of 'travelodgers' are hanging around on the pavement outside, awaiting the all-clear to return to their rooms, but at least on this occasion the alarm wasn't raised sometime after midnight and it isn't actually snowing! However, just before this happened, I noticed a young couple in one of the rooms directly opposite my flat fooling around in a state of possibly-complete undress. No doubt they'll be somewhere amongst the crowd in the street here, wearing the bare minimum of clothing!

Another burnt toast-related emergency at the Travelodge in St. Mary's Street, Edinburgh, 16th March, 2010.
