A dismal day in Bo'ness

A very damp and dismal day at the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway. Trains on this day were being worked by Andrew Barclay 0-6-0T No. 17 BRAERIACH (ex-Wemyss Private Railway No. 17, Works No. 2017 of 1935), which was on loan from the Strathspey Railway. This locomotive was one of five built by Barclay's in the late 1930s for hauling 700-ton coal trains from the Michael Colliery at East Wemyss and other pits in the area, over the Wemyss Private Railway to Denbeath Sidings at Methil. For an industrial locomotive, it's a large and impressive machine.
