Edinburgh at night

This was my first attempt at night photography using my old Fuji S7000 camera and a tripod, and I was very impressed indeed with the results. These photos really brought home to me how superior digital cameras are to traditional film cameras: obtaining satisfactory results in darkness with a non-digital camera would require guesswork, a very long exposure and a great deal of luck, whereas the digital camera produced excellent images like those below almost every time.
