A walk by the Firth of Forth, and an anti-war vigil

A signpost on the Fife Coastal Path between Aberdour and Burntisland, Fife, 16th March, 2003. Place-names don't come much more Scottish than 'Ninelums'!

I don't know the purpose of this bollard/capstan thing on the pier at Pettycur harbour, but the inscription says: 'Fecit Anderson Leith Walk Foundry, 1813'. 16th March, 2003.

I saw these big brown ducks in the garden of a house in Pettycur Road, Kinghorn, Fife, on 16th March, 2003. The owner saw me taking the photos and told me what variety of duck they were, but unfortunately I didn't make a note.

Upon my return to Edinburgh, I attended a candle-lit vigil at Hunter Square on the eve of the 2003 Iraq War.
