As I lost the will to go in to college today after waiting half-an-hour for a bus to Sighthill, I decided to jump on the first one that came along and go to wherever it took me. I ended up at the the site of the former gasworks at Granton, and thought I'd go for a wander along the shore to Cramond, which I've never done before. However, I quickly changed my mind when I saw this sky. 9th June, 2011.
A plane on the approach to Edinburgh Airport descending against a dramatic sky above the preserved gasholder at Granton, the only remaining one of three huge gasholders that used to be a major Edinburgh landmark. Amazing what a wee forty-quid camera can do if you happen to be in the right place at the right moment. 9th June, 2011.
