Trains at Dysart

Another visit to what was then an excellent vantage point from which to watch trains: the footbridge over the railway a short distance to the north of the former Dysart Station. Unfortunately, it being a Saturday, there was no activity in the colliery sidings that day.

Brush Type 4 (TOPS Class 47) No. 47 037 passes the site of Dysart Station with a northbound express on 24th June, 1978.

English Electric Type 4 (Class 40) No. 40 066 passes the site of Dysart Station with a northbound express on 24th June, 1978.

Birmingham RCW Type 2 (Class 27) No. 27 012 approaches Dysart with a southbound train on 24th June, 1978.
