Berwick-upon-Tweed

Some photos I took during a day-trip to the attractive and ancient town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, on a beautiful day in June 2000. Berwick is a lovely town, full of the narrow streets and lanes and fascinating old buildings you'd expect in such an ancient place, and it's very picturesque indeed. And, as in York, you can walk around the whole town along the old defensive fortifications. I must go back there. There was so much to see.
